| Linda Bartlett, current owner of Quilts and Calicos has had a love of quilting for many years. |
Quilts and Calicos was established in July, 1994. The current owner, Linda Bartlett, purchased the business in January, 1999 to fulfill her passion for quilting and has continued to build and improve Quilts and Calicos to what it is today.
Quilts and Calicos can be found in a century old building complete with pine floors, a tin ceiling and brick walls at 392 Main St. S. Exeter, Ontario, home of the white squirrel.
We have an outstanding selection of fabric including complete lines from many of the top designers (Kansas Troubles, Three Sisters, Fig Tree Designs and Buggy Barn to mention just a few) along with an extensive line of batiks, reproduction prints, homespuns and Moda Marbles. There are approximately 4,500 bolts of fabric from which to choose. If you are unable to visit the shop in person, we would be glad to mail your quilting needs to you.
Quilts and Calicos carries a wide range of patterns for the novice quilter to the advance quilter. We have an excellent selection of books, notions and batting. We sell and service the complete line of Husquvana Viking sewing machines and sergers.
Just two blocks from the main shop at 287 Main St. S. you will find "The Cottage" a century old home which has been converted into a premier teaching location. The Cottage boasts large windows for natural light, plenty of parking and a teaching area, complete with a design wall. We offer a wide range of classes for the beginner to the advanced quilter.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to help you solve any quilting problem or will gladly help you select fabric for your next project.
