Classroom

Our Store Policy
All fabrics must be purchased, pre-washed and ironed before the class. You will be required to bring to class a sewing machine in good working order, a rotary cutter, mat and ruler, sewing basket with needles, scissors, thread, bobbins, seam ripper, etc.

If you are interested in taking a class but do not have a sewing machine, Quilts and Calicos has a machine which is available to rent during class time.

The class fee (plus GST) must be paid at the time of registration to secure your place in the class. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Debit or Cheques. Class space is limited so be sure to call or come into the shop to register early.

If you register on-line your spot will be guaranteed for 5 days after which payment must be received to secure your spot in the class. Please call or drop in to the store to arrange payment and receive pre-class instructions

Please note: we require a minimum of five (5) paid students one week prior to a workshop in order for us to run it. We would ask that you be at your class at least 15 minutes before the start of the class. Remember, there is plenty of parking behind The Cottage and that the area between The Cottage and Canada Hearing is reserved for their clients. We would ask that you please refrain from wearing perfume to our classes as we have many people with allergies.

If for some reason you are unable to attend a class, we would ask that you give us a call during business hours so that we can advise the instructor. If you cancel, you will receive a shop credit.

Snow Policy
During the winter months the weather can be unpredictable. Therefore if the roads are closed and the schools and buses are cancelled, the workshop offered that day, will also be cancelled. We will reschedule if at all possible. If we cannot reschedule, you will receive a refund.
